Backwards Design – It Actually Makes Sense!!

During our Springfield lecture in Week 4, Vicki was talking about how important it is to incorporate the Backwards Design Model not only into our assignment one artefact but also our unit and lesson planning as pre-service teachers.  The reason i am blogging about this is because I am the type of student who really struggles with grappling with many of the different models and pedagogies that are thrown at us throughout our time at university.  I ALWAYS get confused about pedagogies and often muddle up which model is which.

BUT, I am soo happy to say that the Backwards Design actually clicked in my brain straight away!! 🙂  I really am enjoying learning more about the Universal Design for Learning because I absolutely agree with everything it entails.  I especially liked this YouTube clip I found of Grant Wiggins (one of the theorists who made the UbD Model).
