I just wanted to share Cherie’s post about Australian Virtual Excursions. I thought this was such a great resource to be able to use, especially in rural and remote schools that are not able to access city museums or any other tours.
These virtual excursions can also be a great hook in the beginning of a unit of work to engage students without having to exhaust extra money into going to the museum. Being able to have a virtual excursion around monumental Australian landmarks like the Sydney Opera House or the National Library of Australia would definitely be something I will use in the future.
